This model has a fuel economy of 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, 8- and 10-speed automatic transmissions, and both four-wheel and rear-wheel drive.

A variety of engine types are offered, including a 2.7L turbo configuration, 5.3L V8, 6.2L V8, and a Duramax® 3.0L turbodiesel. Total horsepower ranges from 277 to 420 horsepower, and this series also has a towing capacity of 8,900 to 9,700 lbs. in total.

In particular, the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 is designed to be the ultimate off-road vehicle, a rugged and fully capable truck with multimatic DSSV dampers, front and rear electronic locking differential, and a high-approach front bumper.
