On March 21, 2026 I flew to Kearny Mesa Chevrolet to purchase a vehicle. I worked with salesperson Hannah Sauceda, and after inspecting the car we negotiated and agreed on a final total “out-the-door” price.
However, once I was in the finance office, the contract did not reflect the agreed price. Instead, it listed the out-the-door price plus an additional $5,000 down payment, something that was never agreed to.

Absolute worst service department I’ve ever had to deal with.
Brought my truck in to have a simple DEF tank leak fixed.
Next thing I know the truck is mysteriously in limp-mode due to a sudden cascade of trouble codes and undriveable. Despite telling the service rep I absolutely needed my truck for my work, I get a shrug and “…it’ll be about a month or two before the parts are available. Sorry (not sorry).

About two years ago, there was a problem with some cells in the Volt's battery. There was a fairly long delay in receiving whatever they needed to fix the battery, but they kept me posted as to the progress. I very much appreciate their concern for keeping me informed.
Very warm people who are as professional as they are friendly 🙂 I recommend giving them a try if you are looking for some new wheels 🙂
Service staff was somewhat rude to my wife and didn't listen to issue. Very defensive and acted as if we the customer have no sense of a properly executed oil change is. I was supposed to get a call from the service manager to discuss...never heard from him.
Showed video evidence of the issue, but service staff and mechanic completely ignored it along with making statements as if the evidence was never seen or considered.

Mitchell did a great job of responding to every question and request I made. Working with him around my busy schedule was very efficient and productive. I found the car I wanted, with the right mix of accessories and none of the things I had no desire for. Much appreciation for providing me with the out the door price before I stepped onto the lot. Absolutely and without a doubt the best service experience that I have ever had with any dealership. My Service Advisor Greg and Technician Scott were so accommodating and customer service focused that my expectations were blown away. I was definitely treated with consideration and respect. Trent was very responsive and addressed all my questions. If he didn't have the answer, he would seek input from others on his team and get back to me as quickly as possible. I felt like Trent was my advocate throughout the purchasing experience.
I had a great experience, went to buy a used work truck but it had been sold by the time I got there. Carter was cool to work with. He searched around to find us a similar vehicle but nothing came close. He presented us with options to buy new and showed us all the incentives available to make it work. He was not pushy at all and left the decision up to us. He worked with me via phone the next day and we got the deal done. He made it super easy and painless unlike past dealership experiences.
DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I had the worst customer service, I took my truck for an oil change and tire rotation. Truck was done and I noticed my tires were not rotated I knew because I had a big scratch on my rear tire, when I got it back that same wheel was still in the same spot. It was convenient to do the whole process all at once, from the visit to buy the car to taking delivery, but it took a little longer than I expected, but I think it was a reasonable wait time.
Had my 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD in for a tail gate recall and a trailer braking recall, also did an oil change that they had comped me from the last time I was there. Hello, I had an issue with the key Fob, they made a new one and programmed all keys and fobs.
Also, the receipt says it was done an inspection and checked all fluids. Well, the windshield washer fluid tank was empty. I asked by email why wasn't done... Mr. Michaelson said typically don't fill fluids except during either an oil change or when they service that part. They worked on the mechanics of the wiper motor, not the tank. Service dept is horrible, scheduled service and 2 times now they do not have the part required after calling me to tell me part was in and sending me reminders not to miss my service date. Service manager promised to fix me up and now will not return my calls and never answers his phone. Cost me 2 days of time and money. Multiple missing Monroney items on new car. Was helped for first things I noticed missing, but the OnStar wasn’t correctly activated by the dealership and getting anyone to even take responsibility for it took over a week of multiple calls and texts and way too many hours on the phone with OnStar since the dealership kept sending me back to them. I was tired of the run-around so I left a negative review elsewhere and the salesman actually called my spouse at work and went off on an angry rant about it.
After doing a lot of research about electric cars, my wife and I decided to purchase a Chevy Bolt EV. The sales consultant, Pedro, was mediocre. He did let my daughter test drive the vehicle before I got there. Even though I was the one purchasing the car, he didn't bother going over the car or features with me. He also kept the key fob with him so we didn't know until after the paperwork was signed that it had a keyless entry, not a passive keyless entry. Buying a car can be stressful especially with how unfamiliar you are with the process. The team here are experts in their field and genuine. You do not get the typical car salesman vibe. Courtney was dedicated and communicative. She worked with Aaron who met me in person guided me effortlessly through the process. I love working with genuine people and this team was a breathe of fresh air.
My family went there last week and had a great experience to purchasing a bolt EUV. We really like the car and their services. The sales consultant, Francisco Frausto, is really patient and helpful. He explained about the car in detail, helped us with the test drives, and how to use and set up the car and the necessary apps. They also provided us with a very good price. The car is amazing and the driving experience is great! If anyone is thinking about buying an EV, I highly recommend this place and Francisco.

I first looked at Chevy Bolts over a year ago. Pedro Olivares was the first Chevrolet salesperson I’d ever spoken with. He is the face of Kearny Mesa Chevrolet for me and I was so impressed with his friendly, no pressure and knowledgeable demeanor that I purposely sought him out when I was ready to buy. No pressure, no hidden markups and no sales manager swooping in to “close the deal”. I had a totally positive experience!
I just got a Chevrolet Equinox from them. Glen helped me with the purchase. He was very helpful, patient, and friendly. There was no pressure to buy and the process was done fast and smoothly.

We purchased a new vehicle recently. The car itself is fine, but the buying, delivery, and post-sales experience at Kearny Mesa Chevrolet was awful. Either sales reps and front line are not empowered / incentivized to solve problems (management issue), or they seem to not be able to (also a management issue).
Three examples of specific issues:
1. We had a paperwork issue with the purchase where it seems like they forgot one contract from the purchase (a big deal!). It's taken multiple weeks to chase down (and counting) with no substantive responses or action plan.

My salesperson, Mustafa, did a great job communicating with the difference between what is advertised and what it is actually selling for with the added dealer accessories. I have been known to leave (multiple) car lots due to unprofessional/pushy/rude sales people. So close but yet so far! I bought my 2021 Chevy Colorado from this dealership. I live in San Marcos, so Quality Chevrolet in Escondido is 20 miles closer. But your service department called to remind me of my 22500mi service, and you had plenty of availability, so I thought I'd give you a shot. I requested an oil change, tire rotation and balance. I turned down the air filter service because I do that myself for 25% of the cost.

I've been taking my vehicles to Kearney Mesa Chevrolet since we purchased our GMC Terrain. I take my Camaro there, which I bought elsewhere, as well. This is the 3rd time I take my Camaro there and nothing but hand prints everywhere. The last time was for tire changes. I took the car in spotless, wheel bright and tires shiny. They return the car with tire powder all over the tires and the wheel all dirty from hand prints and who knows what. If an owner shows pride in their vehicle, why can't the dealership? Sad service!
Went online sent inquiry and right away got call email and text from AARON GONZALEZ. Verified vehicle was in stock had it pulled up ready for a viewing and road test. Made the process quick a new easy. Thanks!
I had a really great experience specifically because of our sales rep Tarik Bey. Tarik was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond for make sure we were comfortable and knowledgeable before making the purchase. He also went out of his way to make sure we were well prepared before making the 2.5 hour commute. Compared to other dealerships we have visited, this Chevy dealership was EXCELLENT.

A few months ago, I brought in my car for routine oil change and tire rotation. The service advisor immediately offered services that were not routine without even checking the mileage. When he got in and checked the service schedule, the computer confirmed what I told him that those services were not recommended at this time. That's shady offering services that are not needed.

I just bought a Chevy Equinox today morning through the online of the Kearney Mesa Chevrolet and made an appointment to pickup the car, and when I arrived there, I was shocked with a completely different price around $6000:more than the price we agreed too, and they said to me that there was a problem in there system, and I have all the information recorded on my cell phone, so I am going to fill a small claim with my lower tomorrow morning!!!

The service quality level decreased a lot since I last took my vehicle for repair here. I left the car to check for a repair and the communication with the advisor was really bad, got emails with wrong quotes, not answering the phone. When I finally got a hold of another advisor named AJ a week after I left the car, he was not willing to help at all, even when there was no service done in the vehicle he would not let me pick it up on Saturday. Really bad experience.
