A 3.6-liter V6 engine is standard for the Chevrolet Blazer RS and optional for the Chevy Blazer 3LT and Chevrolet Blazer Premier. The V6 engine produces 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available as an option across trims.

With its base engine, the SUV’s maximum tow rating is 1,500 lb or 3,250 lb, depending on whether the vehicle has the optional trailering package. When SUVs powered by the V6 engine have the trailering package, they can tow as much as 4,500 lb.
