2023 Chevy Bolt EV vs. EUV: Which One Is for You?

Finally ready to trade in your gas guzzler? The 2023 Chevy Bolt could be the perfect eco-friendly replacement. There are two different types to choose from, and this guide goes over their similarities and differences.

Powertrain

While they vary in size — the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV is slightly larger — both Chevy Bolt models have the same powertrain. It consists of an electric motor and a 66-kWh lithium-ion battery, which combine to generate 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. They both also come with front-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy

Both the Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV have outstanding fuel economy. The Chevy Bolt EV gets 131 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) in the city and 109 MPGe on the highway. The Chevy Bolt EUV offers 125 MPGe in the city and 104 MPGe on the highway.

Driving Range and Charging Times

The Chevy Bolt EV has a driving range of up to 259 miles when the battery is fully charged. A completely charged battery in the Chevy Bolt EUV will let you go up to 247 miles.

With a 240-volt outlet or a Level 2 charging station, both cars can get charged up in about seven hours. A DC Fast Charging station will add around 100 miles of range to each in 30 minutes.
