How to Charge Your Chevrolet Bolt EUV

Charging your new Chevrolet Bolt EUV has never been easier or more accessible than right now. With thousands of charge stations, complimentary home outlet installation, and an EPA-estimated range of 247 miles, you can stay on the road longer without worrying about gas stations ever again. Here’s how to charge your electronic utility vehicle properly.
Chevrolet Bolt EUV Charging Level Overview
There are three levels of chargers you can use to charge your EUV. All three conveniently fit the Chevrolet Bolt EUV in the same way. The only difference is where they plug into on the other end. Here is the overview:
- Level 1 Charger — This can be done at home or anywhere with a regular, three-prong 120-volt household outlet. This is the slowest, but easiest way to charge up.
- Level 2 Charger — This is also available at home with the installation of a 240-volt circuit and outlet. This is the most common public charging option; it charges faster than Level 1 and is the best option for daily driving.
- Level 3 Charger — Found in some public charging stations, this is also called DC Fast Charging. It uses a CCS Combo connector and direct current (DC) to quickly power up your battery. This is the fastest, but also the most expensive option.
How and Where to Charge Your EUV
The process for all three levels of charging is virtually identical. At home, plug into the outlet and the charging port. At one of the more than 40,000 public stations in the US, simply plug into your EUV outlet or through a CCS Combo connector. Chevy also offers free Level 2 outlet installation at home for new leases or purchases.
