The End of the Chevy Spark

The Chevy Spark was introduced in North American markets in 2013, though it was available abroad for over a decade. The small size and impressive fuel economy made it a fan favorite for regular commuters and city drivers. It was the smallest car in the Chevy lineup, and very affordable, as well.

Unfortunately, sales for the Chevy Spark began to decline around 2017. The primary reason for this decline was simple market needs. Drivers were becoming more interested in subcompact crossovers, and sedans and smaller hatchbacks saw an overall drop in popularity.

Over the next few years, the sales for the Chevy Spark failed to recover, and GM announced that 2022 would be the last production year for the Chevy Spark.
